Prologic adds mobile function to school management ERP

Prologic Technology Systems, a developer of web-based school management solutions, has released its new TEAMS ERP mobility tool which allows teachers to view and manage school student data on their mobile devices.

As well as managing student data on mobile devices, the new functionality allows principals to manage data on teachers, such as unfilled substitute rolls.

Teaching staff can access a wide array of data on students’ records. This includes data on attendance, disciplinary incidents, report cards, and any information on contact with parents or guardians. Prologic claims that mobile TEAMS ERP speeds up response times to student queries and disciplining.

Mobile access for TEAMS can be accessed through Safari and Chrome browsers and is available for iOS 5 for Apple devices and Android 2.3 and higher devices.

Mobility and security

Prologic Technology Systems says that TEAMS ERP has a strong built-in security posture where all data is encrypted during transmission and no data is held on the teacher's mobile device.

Prologic is developing its mobile strategy to give teaching staff greater access on the go and the ability to move seamlessly from desktops to smartphones and tablets, says Jeff Pepper, President of Prologis Technology Systems. “We see mobility as a key strength going forward as we continue to press the envelope when it comes to technology solutions that just don't meet−but exceed district expectations,” says Mr. Pepper.

The mobile function is one component of the company’s wider TEAMS ERP solution for managing finances, payroll, HR, and enrolment.

Last month Prologic secured a deal with Texas-based Harmony Public Schools, which runs 43 high charter preparatory schools in Texas. The school network will be deploying HR and payroll solutions to more than 3,200 staff.

Earlier this year, Prologic successfully rolled out its TEAMS online registration and enrolment program to 82,000 families in Austin, Texas and 40,000 families in El Paso, Texas following successful pilot programs in the state.
