Latest FinancialForce ERP update is a force of nature

Recently, Jeremy Roche, CEO and President of FinancialForce.com invited a small group, including myself, to breakfast to discuss the latest developments in their ERP system.

FinancialForce ERP works entirely within Salesforce and extends the availability of that system, including modern accounting and finance capabilities, to users who need a more advanced financial system. FinancialForce also supports human capital, professional services, and supply chain management functions.

The majority of current users are already users of Salesforce and want a single-sign-on system from sales force extended to financial applications. Because the ERP system is built on Salesforce, all data is tied to customers. Profit and expense by customer is built in. Projects linked to a customer are treated as campaigns within Salesforce. Expenses for the campaign are directly connected to customers and, of course, overall profitability.

Lightning, Wave and other forces of nature

FinancialForce applications now benefit from 'Lightning Ready' applications across devices. Lightning is Salesforce's new user interface which allows FinancialForce users to take advantage of advanced dashboards and reports.

Continuing the meteorological theme, FinancialForce accounting and supply chain applications are now powered by Salesforce's new Wave Analytics platform. Users can gain insight to their entire customer journey from any device at any time.

Salesforce continues to lead in development of applications for their CRM and FinancialForce is quick to take advantage of those technologies to benefit their customers.

FinancialForce can now harness the Internet of Things (IoT) with new Salesforce applications. We saw how time on a customer project can be logged on and off from anywhere through an Apple watch.

Internet of Things

This technology also has the potential to monitor the profitability of many of other IoT elements by linking a data stream to a customer record. There is no need to add accounts to the chart with this technology. Any object is simply linked to an existing account as needed without relying on user-definable fields or tables.

Salesforce continues to lead in development of applications for their CRM and FinancialForce is quick to take advantage of those technologies to benefit their customers. If you are already using Salesforce and need better results from your accounting, HCM, supply chain, or professional services, considering FinancialForce may not be a bad choice.
